Provenance
The antique stereoscope was purchased on eBay as an interactive prop for the Great Photographers exhibit put on by the Santa Barbara Historical Museum in 2019. The stereographs were included in the purchase of the stereoscope. The origin of the modern stereoscope in unknown. At the end of the exhibit, all items were transferred by the Collections Department to the Gledhill Library for educational use.
