Gift of Virginia M. Carey Estate facilitated by Janet Sewell, Executor. Virginia M. Carey (1935-2021) was a descendant of the historic de la Cuesta family of Santa Ynez through her matriarch line. Artist Alexander Harmer’s painting, A Fiesta at the De La Cuesta Rancho, depicts life in Spanish California through the hospitality and status of the de la Cuesta family.
