Provenance

Transfer from Collections. The provenance is unknown. After inspection, Michael Redmon suggests it may have been part of SBHM Flying "A" exhibition done prior to the Dana Driskel curated exhibit in 2012. Redmon further speculates the exhibit draws heavily upon author Robert S. Birchard's research on the Flying "A" and his 2007 publication, Birchard, Robert S. 2007. Silent-era filmmaking in Santa Barbara. Charleston, SC: Arcadia. It is possible this older exhibition is mentioned in an SBHM newsletter.
