Rosario Curletti was a sixth generation Californian and descendant, author of Pathways to Pavements, an anthropologist, genealogist, historian and book collector. She concentrated on Santa Barbara history and the Chumash Indians.
Rosario was a close friend of Dr. Carey Stanton. He placed a cenotaph in her memory at the Cemetery of the Holy Cross on Santa Cruz Island and named the island chapel La Capilla de la Santa Cruz del Rosario in her honor. She died of cancer.
Rosario Curletti is buried in Calvary Cemetery in Santa Barbara, California.
