Five (5) volumes of diaries written by Rebecca Ord-Peshine. One volume contains loose clippings. Restriction written on wrapping paper. Rebecca Ord-Peshine was the daughter of Augustias de la Guerra and Dr. James Ord and at one time a Santa Barbara school teacher. See External Documents for additional context for diaries.

Provenance
Gift of Josephine A. Thompson. Mrs. Thompson turned over the volumes to the Society at its museum installation at the Old Mission. Mrs. Thompson's mother, Mrs. Dominic Anchordoquy, was the housekeeper for Rebecca and Major John H. H. Peshine and safeguarded the diaries. Other later volumes are said to have been destroyed.
