Gift of Mrs. Laurence Wheeler. The donor's husband, Laurence Wheeler (1888-1956) owned the noted Wheeler's Inn at Ellwood which was shelled by a Japanese submarine during World War II, was a well-known restaurateur who owned and managed restaurants in Goleta, Ellwood and Santa Barbara.
