Gledhill Library Style Guide – Corporate Agents

Cities, counties, buildings, hotels, and theaters are created as Agent-Corporate entities rather than Subject Headings. Doing so allows these entities to be linked to their related agencies, departments, owners, architects, builders, and governing organizations. Large tracts of land such as land grants, ranchos, ranches, local, regional, and national parks, islands, and foreign countries are the exception to this rule and are created as Subject Headings -Geographic or -Topical.
