Biography
Katherine M. Harvey was the daughter of Frederick Henry Harvey (1835 - 1901), founder of the Fred Harvey Company and Harvey House restaurant chain. Originally from Arizona, Katherine later relocated to Santa Barbara and was a noted philanthropist and Native American art collector. Katherine's legacy lives on through Leading from Within's Katherine Harvey Fellows program.

The collection consists of research materials collected by Pamela Skewes-Cox during the research of her publication, "Spanish Colonial Style: Santa Barbara and the Architecture of James Osborne Craig and Mary McLaughlin Craig," which she authored along with Robert Sweeney and was published by Rizzoli Press in 2015.
