Biography

Santa Barbara native and city mayor (April 4, 1898-December, 1899) who was not able to run for a second term due to a new law passed, while he was mayor, requiring a minimum age of 30, thus making him ineligible for reelection. In 1900 he became county tax collector, serving in that capacity until 1903. - Islapedia
